Gideon Kossoff
Gideon teaches and conducts research in transition design and eco-literacy. He focuses on the convergence between philosophical and scientific holism, the emerging ecological world view and the decentralist, ecophilosophical tradition. Gideon argues that this tradition has become urgently relevant in informing the transition to alternative social, political and economic systems (transition design) and it needs to more effectively incorporate contemporary developments in chaos and complexity theories, whole systems economics, commoning, social psychology and urban sociology.
Gideon shared his work alongside Terry Irwin during the Session 3 Lab titled, Transition Design: Design for Systems-Level Change in April of 2020.
