I oversee the day-to-day operations of Innovation North, which means I wear many hats. I also work alongside our Leader, Tima Bansal, to drive the strategic direction of the organization. I was first introduced to systems thinking through a course during my undergrad where I mapped the waste management ecosystem in Waterloo Region. Now, when I think about solving massive and complex problems, words like network, impact, community, come to mind. That’s why I think systems innovation is important – the world’s most pressing issues will only be solved if innovators come together to understand and dance with systems.
